View of Goose Creek Oil Field from peninsula circa 1917; This photograph circa 1917 could have been made from Blackwell Peninsula (where present (1960s) Baytown-LaPorte tunnel goes under the ship channel). However it could be a view from the end of the peninsula at the mouth of Goose Creek stream where it flows into Tabbs Bay. Reason: House on high bluff to the left of center resembles the George Wright home in Goose Creek field. (House was later moved to present location on Highway 146 on curve near Smith's Store at Cedar Bayou). Name on bottom right is F. G. Allen.
