Old Battery B at Humble Oil taken offline and being dismantled, 1954; "After nearly thirty-four years of continuous operation Old Battery B was taken off the line and is now being dismantled. Part of its job has been taken over by New Pipe Still No. 6. A continuous type crude still old Battery B has charged more crude than many refineries of the world since it went into operation in August 1920. Only similar crude still remaining at Baytown refinery is Battery R."
