Miss Barrett Station, 1969.
Gloria Jean Bass, center, a senior at Charles R. Drew High School, has been elected Miss Barrett Station in a teen-age beauty pageant. Runners up were Wanda Thues, second place winner, and Wanda's sister, Sarah Thues, third place winner. Gloria Jean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bass of Barrett Station, received a bouquet of yellow and white carnations. Contestants modeled swim suits, evening dresses, sportswear and street clothes for the judging.
