Tri-Cities high school band on stage, 1936; "During its first full year of activities as a musical unit the Tri-Cities high school band under the direction of A.A. Davis has developed into one of the outstanding high school bands in the state. The majority of the young musicians are sons and daughters of Humble employees at Baytown refinery. This band has made numerous trips to various parts of the state to the Texas Centennial and has also made a hit with its stirring music and snappy parades at the high school football games this season."
