Quack Shack grand opening, June 1944; "A. The first couple to enter the canteen Kirk Busch and Dot Wismer hand their tickets to Willena Latapie on the left. B. The Tri-City Junior Chamber of Commerce and local officials are sponsoring a summer canteen for 'teen age boys and girls in the high school gymnasium. Here are a few Jaycees Jaycee-ettes and school board members at the Quacker Box bar where soft drinks are sold. Left to right: Gene Bauer, Mrs. C.A Long, Mrs. Bauer, Jaycee President C.A.
