School historical pageant, 1935.; "A. Vivid memories of the [first] world war were recalled when the children from the Alamo school depicted the patriotic work of Red Cross nurses. The tots kneeling in the foreground are offering prayers for their daddies “over there”. B. History passes in review three nights when 1300 students from Tri-Cities schools staged 18 episodes in mammoth program. Largest crowd ever assembled in school stadium applaud progress of schools. Baytown elementary school portrays important role refinery played in history of community."
