East Baytown business section circa 1925; Shows old East Baytown business section circa 1925. Photograph taken from water tower now situated behind Harold Scarborough's drug store (1968). In center of photo is Humble Service Station adjoining refinery fence around Mexican and Negro company housing section. A new Enco station now sits back from the street. Two-story building on extreme right is Mike Katribe building. Walls under construction in low right was old Cone's Pharmacy now Apache Lounge. Montana Cafe building was later enlarged into Montana Hotel. Drug store in photo is still there as Fortinberry's Baytown Drug Store. Visible in open areas in trees in upper right white spots are tents. Water tower is part of C. (Dutch) Ptacek's water system to serve houses in the area. Street is end of Market Street. Street to left is Harbor Street.
