Radio Station KRCT; At the east end of Texas Avenue on the banks of Cedar Bayou once stood the white framed building that housed 250-watt Radio Station KRCT. It was an independent daytime station that played mostly country and western music, but also broadcast events such as the weekly assembly from Robert E. Lee High School. It went on air in 1947 and remained in Baytown until the late 1950s when it moved to Pasadena and changed its call letter to KIKK.
